"Personal stylists are not just for the rich and famous. For anyone wanting (or needing) a fashion update, an image transformation or even just a confidence boost- a stylist is an absolute must!
Some may say 'it's just clothing', but our personal style determines the image we present to the world.
We are all taught to ride a bike, but who teaches us to dress in ways that flatter our figures, but also compliment our lifestyles and portray the person we want to be? This is where a personal stylist is your best friend, and secret weapon in style!" Sarah Elizabeth Turner
Style Vice is the result of stylist Sarah Elizabeth Turner's addiction and passion for enhancing inner style in the everyday person. Whether it be makeovers, personal shopping or simply advice, Style Vice will have you looking your best regardless of your shape, size, profession or budget.
Sarah Elizabeth Turner began her style and fashion career at a young age. Sarah has promoted and boosted confidence and self-esteem in young women with special needs and the woman in cancer support groups through various development programs using knowledge with personal style. She has also worked closely with a QLD fashion designer, Lennee' Graham, developing women’s fashion collections to which won awards at local and regional level.
Sarah has also worked on air and in radio promotions and marketing, but soon returned to her true passion – fashion styling. She studied professional styling at The Whitehouse Institute of Design in Sydney in 2009 and also externally with the Australian Professional Styling Academy in 2010. Sarah has clients from the Sunshine Coast and in the Brisbane region, ranging from professional stage performers, to business professionals, to stay at home mums wanting to reinvent their image. Sarah regularly acts as a personal shopper for these often time poor professionals, outfitting entire wardrobes in home or online. More recently, after becoming a mum herself and moving out west for her husband’s career, she has held many ‘Finding your Inner Style Goddess’ workshops for the wonderful women of the land, hosting popular suitcase parties where she reinvigorated wardrobes and lives. Since moving back to Brisbane, Sarah has worked with many new clients and also worked with David Jones Indooroopilly as a Style Advisor.
After working as Style Advisor, Sarah made the decision to just freelance for a more work life balance and solely could grow and develop Style Vice. Through my business, Sarah focuses on providing fashion advice to a wide range of people and personalities – providing personal one-on-one styling sessions to all types of women from professionals to stay at home mums to ladies in there 80's who just want to look more polished and have someone shop for them. Sarah also shops and styles bachelors, husbands, families for photo shoots and bridal parties. Her approach is extremely relatable and adaptable to people with different circumstances, lifestyles and requirements and majority of my success has come from word of mouth.
Sarah is currently working closely with TV Presenters Sammie O'Brien and Kimberley Busteed, dressing them for TV appearances, hosting gigs and photo shoots. Plus many more Brisbane identities. More recently, the Brisbane Racing Club sourced Sarah to dress Kayla Boyd, ambassador of the new Veuve Society Membership.
In addition to this, since 2015 Sarah has been working for Laura Churchill, Indooroopilly Shopping Centre’s resident stylist. While Laura went on Maternity leave in February 2016, Sarah looked after her responsibilities, which included dressing Lotto presenters, curating parades at media events, fashion shoots for the Courier Mail, dressing ambassadors for the Brisbane Racing Winter Carnival which included photos shoots, PR opportunities and race days throughout the season. These ambassadors included Anna Heindrich, Tim Robards, Erin Holland Carissa Walford.
Also in 2016, Sarah styled the re branding campaign for the breakfast radio hosts on 97.3fm and 4KQ which will feature on bus backs and shelters, billboards and marketing campaigns in the coming months. From this, Robin Bailey from 97.3FM became a client and we embarked a massive wardrobe overhaul that has been documented and shared regularly on air, and via social media, which included a piece featuring on Mamammia.
The relationship has continued ,Sarah has become Robin's personal stylist and partner in crime in tackling fashion issues and questions raised by Robin's followers.
In 2017, Sarah has worked on the re-branding campaign for Butterfly Silver, Marketing campaign for Multicap, Wella Remix Roadshow and new personal clients from coast to coast.
